Tuesday

It's a Tuesday, of course, it could be a Monday but in any case, cold, sunny and quite beautiful outside today...I've been working on an applique piece the last couple of days, and so far it's not going as good as I would like but I am going to plug on and make it work...I like handwork so I know this will be a good thing for me to do..

I haven't done much cross stitching the last few days but I will be picking up needle and thread once my DH has left for a couple of days..It's such a comfort for me to just stitch and not think about him being gone...

Day before yesterday I did manage to get a scrappy quilt block accomplished and I will be posting a pic of that in this post..

Today is "hamburger bun" day..Yep, time to make new rolls as my husband is going to make is ultimate burger for dinner tonight (my absolute favorite)..Then I send him with the rolls for his lunches..They are so tasty, we love them..On Monday, I made 2 loaves of wheat bread and it came out delicious..

Living here on the farm and trying to do everything by scratch is challenging yet it's an amazing feeling when you actually accomplish the task...I don't even mind not being able to eat at a fast food place anymore and yet, when it's time to go to the big city (Kalispell or Missoula) it's so exciting atleast for me..

My computer has been on the fritz but it looks as though we are back up and running beautifully - yeah!!!

Enjoy the day and make every moment count!!

For Gardeners and People Concerned About Our Environment

Anyone purchasing seeds this year and are concerned from whom they are buying their seeds from, might want to read this article first.

I do not talk politics, religion (although I am truly one of God's followers) or anything else that can cause a stir simply because I do believe one has the right to choose which path they take without worrying about judgement from me. I follow my own path, I have my own beliefs and welcome others to do the same as long as it does not hurt anyone..However, I do feel this is an important read and am doing my part in helping put it out for other's knowledge. I truly believe knowledge is the most important treasure one could find..From here, it's your choice, your path and your movement..

Be safe, be happy and above all, be loved!!

My Reading for This Weekend

No artwork for me this weekend, just some good old fashion work and a book (thank goodness)...I made 2 loaves of wheat bread, a dozen hamburger buns and some croutons out of last weeks bread...We also did some clean up around here which includes my storage room making it not only cleaner but more room...

I did read a delightful cozy book this weekend by a new author (for me atleast). The book is titled "Ghost a'la Mode" by Sue Ann Jaffarian and right now if you have a Kindle or the Kindle app on your computer its "free"..Yep you read that correct "free"..Don't know how long Amazon will have it for free, so if you are interested check it out..

The book is about a young woman, living with her parents awaiting her daughter's leave for college and a divorce...Her best friend convinces her to got to a seance with her which is where this all begings...Next thing you know, she can see and hear ghost starting with her great great grandmother who was accused of murder but claiming she didn't do it..

I feel it's a fun cozy and would recommend this book without a doubt..In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I'm actually going to buy the next one..

Well, that was my weekend and this brings me to the end of my post..Wish you all peace, harmonty and above all love..

My Latest CS Completion

My lastest completion on my needlework journey is now for your viewing..It's a gorgeous Lavender towel in which I used Anchor floss #101 (gorgous grape color; I will be finding a way to buy more - its absolutely yummy) with pattern "Initial Presentation" by Accents, Inc. I started around 1 am Thursday morning (Wednesday night so to speak) and finished tonight around 8 pm (Thursday)..I probably only put around 8 hours or so and the results were amazingly beautiful..I love it...Thanks for looking!!

Frustrated

Its my fault, I hadn't posted for a very long time until recently and I found all kind of issues with the way I had my blog set up and the background, so when I tried to fix it, I discovered that what I had done before in the past is not longer valid....Geez, why must we change things around..They say progress, I say "pooh pooh" so until I can figure out once again how to fix my blog, guess you'll just have to view it like this..Drats!! Happy Days and Peace to all!

My Recent Creativities

These are pillow cases I started years ago, put them away and just recently found them and decided to sit till they were done...Took me about 3 straight days but I love them and so does Lee.

This is a lovely embroidery pattern that I got off of Mary Corbet's site..The actual pillow isn't done yet but I taped it so that my husband could see what it looked like..I love it!

This is my first dog collar I made for my sweet baby named Lindy

My 3rd ornament for Christmas

This is called Whispered Winds and it's a lovely Medallion piece (atleast I think they are called medallions)

These are some beautiful candles that I made with some scrap lace, ribbon, candles, sea salt in canning jars..Kind of a "shabby chic" type of girl that I am..

A small Christmas ornament tittled "Faith, Hope and Peace.

My first Christmas ornament of the year..Isn't he cute?

Here's a couple of things I've just completed...

PS

Wow, another gift from that sweet man I'm married to..He called me tonight and around 10:30 pm he told me where yet another gift was waiting..Some more chocolates (my fav - Ghirardelli Dark and Raspberry) and a movie..What a wonderful husband I have...

Happy Valentine's Day

My card, my candy and my beautiful rose!
A closer view of my beautiful rose!
The card I made for my husband

I have a beautiful song my heart. It's a little rock, a little roll, a little jazz, a little pop, a little country, a little soul and a little blues. It's always in tune, always harmonious with perfect lyrics - a platinum hit in my book..This song reflects the love I have for my husband and I would like to take this time to tell him how much I love him and how grateful I am he took me, not only as his wife, but as his best friend..

My husband isn't home with me, he's out working his heart and soul to make a living for us. I miss him and I know he misses me. He left me little surprises..The rose came by way of him Friday night, the card and candy came just after midnight and what you can't see is a box of yummy "passion"tea I found this afternoon. What a sweetheart!

Yeah - Another Post for this New Year - I'm On A Roll!!

Well the title says it all, I'm on my second blog post for this year. Pretty good, compared to how my past year/s have been and I'm really ready to go forward..

To begin with, I'm back to quilting, hand appliqueing, cross stitching, embroidering and crazy quilting..I feel like a "newbie" once again, but I'm hopeful it's like riding on a bike. I have a list of UFO's that I haven't even been able to look at for such a long time but I must admit, I do feel the excitement of getting back to my passion.

I've also been re-adjusting to a new type of lifestyle. I reuse, redo and recycle almost everything..I've been cooking by scratch and I do mean scratch - loving every bit of it..I'm still exercising about 4 times a week and organizing my home.

My goal and focus is to once again re-connect with friends who share mutual ideas, hobbies and just plain life.

I still read my mysteries and love every one of them, what can I say I'm a "mystery" junkie but I'm also exploring my spiritual side...

Well, guess that's about all I can think of tonight and I will try and post more frequently which will include photos of my projects of all types. I am looking forward to this journey once again and looking forward to reading all your blogs which I find so inspiring.

Good Night Everyone!!

A Great Man Passes to His New Chapter

It's been way too long since my last post. In this last couple of years life has brought some strong challenges, some I've worked on and hopefully improved while others just getting through with them in hopes of becoming a better and wiser person.

Most recently, a very special man has passed away, a man I have come to not only love but highly respect; my father n law. Robert Lee Lindborg was a creative and brilliant man who cared deeply for his wife and boys. I didn't have honor of knowing him near long enough but enough to know our family and his friends will know the void by his leaving.

I hope tonight the last thing you do is give thanks for all the wonderful people in your life and as you walk into the future you find a way to show all those special and influential people in your life how you feel. All too soon these same loved ones can be gone in a heartbeat and then it will be way to late. I am so grateful to have the I laws I have in my life and I hope they know it.

I am going to try and blog more of my life including my arts and crafts. I plan to communicate more with my family and friends and hope I can convey exactly as I feel. To all that have followed my blog in the past, I would like to apologize for dropping off the face of the earth. I am here and ready to start posting and share a part of my life!!
